What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® uses biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid to help rebuild collagen for healthier skin and a more youthful-looking appearance that can last up to two years. Activate your skin's natural regenerative process to help replenish lost facial collagen. Collagen is the most common protein in the body and helps support the skin's inner structure.
Sculptra® is a dermal filler that helps stimulate natural collagen production that works gradually over time to restore your facial volume and let you achieve a more natural youthful appearance. What can you expect with Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is injected in or under the facial skin through a small needle for correction of:
- Deep folds between the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), also called “smile lines”
- Lines framing the mouth (marionette lines)
- Chin wrinkles
The number of injections at each session will vary, depending on the degree of correction needed. Results happen gradually, so expect to see subtle, yet noticeable, results in the reduction of facial wrinkles and folds. Most patients will require a minimal of three treatment sessions over the course of a few months to see results.
